Economy
Our Economy is built of trading and farming. Trade is easy and fast due to our long coast line. Even though we do not build or own ships we use our trading skills to import them from New York. Our farms produce some of the best grains and corn in the New England. We consist of some of the best traders and businessmen you can find. Our livestock is some of the fattest happiest you will find anywhere. When you put all these facts together you see a strong economy in New Jersey.
Some of the things we export:
flour, barley, oats and corn

Small trading colonies sprang up where the present towns of Hoboken and Jersey City are located. The Dutch, Swedes, and Finns were the first European settlers in New Jersey. Bergen, founded in 1660, was New Jersey's first permanent European settlement.
